Services
Our research arm, Kline Art Research Associates Inc. specializes in art attribution/authentication projects for unidentified and misidentified paintings, drawings and sculpture, 16th-20th centuries. We endeavor to answer the questions “Who did it? Is it authentic?” Consultation with a worldwide network of art historian associates is a standard research practice.
Additionally, we selectively offer Notarized Appraisal Documents for fine art, for purposes of insurance and donation, as well as estate valuation. Our appraisal division looks into valuation as well as determining authenticity.
***
Our company's approach is scholarly, rather than commercial, with an emphasis on connoisseurship, art historical importance, aesthetic quality and, not least, research and development.
We are Generalist Art Historians and our interest and expertise is wide ranging. We remain open and delighted by works of high quality from diverse periods of art history.
The Kline Art History Library is open by appointment to artists, students and scholars.
Many notable discoveries have resulted from our investigations over the last 30 years.
